- When will customized models of the cntlr be available? Will there be only customization of appearance (color, wood panels) or will it also be possible to order a cntrlr with knobs which clinch in centerset position, just like a DJ EQ? (one panel of 4x3 would be enough for me). I do not know when customization will begin, but I'm sure that it will be limited to color, and endcap style. - Do i need good coding skills to switch sides of EQs and pan/sends in the remote control script? I wouldn't say 'good' coding skills, but you would need to be able to decipher a little python code (which is the easiest language to read), and remap some stuff. The author of these scripts trolls our forums, and when users ask specific questions about their intended mod, he usually helps out. - Last and definitely least: Will the backpack shown on your cntrlr details page(1st picture) be for sale? And if, will it also pack a laptop and a small interface (RME Babyface)? I will ask. I'm not sure about this one.

Hi Nyorn. 1. Is the Chip that the Brainv2 uses still a PIC and will Livid make the source code of it available? It still uses a PIC. I, personally, do not know if it will be open sourced. 2. (I hope thats not offensive) what PIC will be used? PIC18 series. It will most likely use the same PIC as Brain1. 3. What encoders can be used with the Brain DIYv2? I asume incremantal encoders, can you already recommend any? Bourns Encoders are really nice for the price, but you should be able to use any encoder that uses 2-bit gray code. 4. Would it be possible to build something like the touchsense-function, of for example the vestax jog wheels? (simply by grounding the button through the person touching it?) Sure. I think those jog-wheels have an extra switch that you can wire up as a button. Thanks Nyorn 5. I suppose if I want to use the output of a AD-converter, I have to modifiy the source code? Depends what your A/D-Converter is outputting. What A/D converter do you have in mind?

Hi, I've bought a Block 2 years ago, and it's an old model like yours Pompe. I'm experiencing the exact same curving of the wood body (and metal faceplate aswell) It's really annoying to get it stable on a flat surface. I've thinked of removing those screws and go for another body, made of something else, but don't want to crash it or something, so i ask before doin something wrong. Can you (Livid Team) tell me what can be done to replace it or something ? Would be reeeaaally appreciated. Thanks

This format is used for detection/setup of UDP ports and command prefixes. The newer 'serialosc' communication format is not yet supported. It won't harm anything to have serialosc running, but monomeBridge will most likely not work with patches that are built to run with the newer serialosc format. You might get lucky, though. I'm going to try to work on a new version of this soon, both for monomeBridge and Monolink (for Monomodular). No promises on a timeframe, though. <blockquote>communication works now between the "old" monome patches and the ohm rgb, quite bumpy tough.</blockquote> Being that things work with certain patches, but not others, I tend to think these issues may be due to the individual monome patches and not monomeBridge. But keep us posted, and as time allows I will have a look at the ones your having issues with and see if I can reproduce what you are experiencing, and if so come up with a solution for the problems. This will all be a lot easier when we get a chance to incorporate serialosc into monomeBridge. Cheers :) a

o.k. just gave it a go with new monomeBridge v.13. thanks @amounra. great job. communication works now between the "old" monome patches and the ohm rgb, quite bumpy tough. here my results: haven´t noticed any difference in stopping serialosc or not. _mash 0.13 & _0.14: button presses reacts very slow to the response. something like one second of delay _mlr: button presses reacts very fast. actually good. but first row of _mlr is triggering anyhow the second and third row. once some row are playing they can´t be stopped anymore. _daemon: works nice _ polygome: works nice .. to be continued....

Hey there, We have a new version of monomeBridge available, it should work fine now. Keep in mind, of course, that this still doesn't work properly with SerialOSC, but it should work fine with any of the older patches. factory defaults are what you need. You can do a factory reset in an editor to get them back to defaults. Don't forget to send then save.

I am about to embark on creating my own controller and have decided that your builder series seems the best for my limited skill level. I have a couple questions, I have been looking at you well documented wiki's and they have answered most of my questions. is there any settings i have to do to the control editor so that the script will work??? i am using 'current settings" and it doesn't do anything!!! and when i choose preset 1 and send it to the block it works but without any led feedback!!! can someone please guide me a little bit!!!! I'm having the exact same problem with a used code I just purchased. I haven't yet updated to the latest firmware though (code editor reports it as 0 1 0 0). Is there a decent chance it's a firmware issue? None of the green lights for the encoders indicating max value ever light up either, but I'm not sure if it's related.
